I have the same problems as asked on this forum: when I try to connect equil to my mac mini, it does find the equil, is connected for a few seconds, and then nothing. I have followed the steps given earlier, but to no avail:
1) Flip over the magnetic cover on the bottom of your receiver. YES
2) Restart both your computer and reset the equil SMARTPEN by pressing the Reset button at the bottom right corner of your receiver. YES
3) Make sure “iOS<→ Others” switch at the bottom of receiver is selected according to Others. YES
4) Hold down the power button on your receiver for a few seconds until Bluetooth LED starts to blink rapidly. Note that the blue light blinks slowly immediately upon powering up so you will not want to confuse this with the rapid blinking blue light of pairing mode. YES. Mac says, the mac is configured to work with equil, it has connected with equil and has made a computer port, but I have no blue tooth connection.
Equil works fine on iPad.

I am sorry to hear that you are having difficulties connecting to your Mac Mini.
Would you be able to tell us the Mac Operating System that is installed on your Mac Mini? Would you also be able to confirm that the Apple Bluetooth is on and is functioning properly?
